Travel to Uganda will be much easier.  Applications can be filled at: visas.immigration.go.ug

Uganda & Rwanda are a unique destination, which jointly offers Mountain Gorillas, besides chimpanzee, baboons, hippos, crocodile, elephants, lions, leopard, and hundreds of bird species.

Recent Events

Gorilla Permits in Uganda are US$ 600.00 per person. Low Season (April, May & November) incentive rate for Uganda Gorilla Permit is US$ 350.00 per person.

However, anytime of the year Rwanda Gorilla Permit still remains at $750.00 per person. It has just been announced by RDB on May 06th 2017 that Rwanda Gorilla Permits shall henceforth cost US$ 1,500.00 per person. We do not have any further details at the moment. We will issue further updates as more details emerge.

In both countries, children under 15 years of age are not allowed on gorilla treks.

[2 nights / 3 days]


Day 1: Transfer to Bwindi.

Very early in the morning at 6:00 am after breakfast you will drive south west using the Masaka- Mbarara road heading to Bwindi the Gorilla sanctuary. The journey will take you through towns, homesteads, grasslands, and banana plantations to reach the park in the late afternoon. You will stop at the Equator for photographs and in Mbarara for lunch reaching in the evening. Check in your lodge and then if you are not tired you may go for a walk to the neighbouring community. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort.

Day 2: Tracking Gorillas.

In the morning you will have breakfast and with packed lunch you will transfer to the park headquarters for briefing. Later at 9:00 am you will set off along the tracks into the thick forest to search for these great apes. Depending on the movement of these humble giants the walk might take between 2-9 hours before you encounter the gorillas. The walk is tiresome however meeting these great apes and spending some time with them while looking deep into their expressive brown eyes, is an exhilarating and heartbreaking wildlife encounter that Africa has to offer. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Resort.

Day 3: Head to Kampala.

In the morning have breakfast, then load your luggage to start your return to Kampala. It will be a long day’s drive through the “Switzerland of Africa”, the same very scenic green hills you passed on your way in. The drive shall take you through Mbarara Town for a lunch stop over, then proceed to Kampala arriving early evening. Dinner and overnight at your selected hotel, or you may have scheduled yourself to proceed straight to Entebbe Airport for your onward flight connection… with fond memories of Uganda!
