MURCHISON FALLS – KIBAALE – QUEEN ELIZABETH – BWINDI – LAKE MBURO [BY ROAD]

Day 1:: Arrival at Entebbe (EBB)

Night arrival at Entebbe, and transfer to Best Western Hotel - Entebbe. No dinner because of your late arrival. Best Western Hotel, Entebbe - BB.

Day 2:: Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Park

Early breakfast and early departure from Kampala to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to do the rhino tracking. Thereafter set off for Murchison Falls N. Park with a brief stop at the top of the falls. The park as got a face Iift - new road paved all the way apart from the tracks we use during the game drive. Also the bridge is in full use - no more ferry. Check-in and lunch at Paraa Safari Lodge.

In the afternoon we an introductory game drive in the park. Dinner and overnight: Paraa Safari Lodge [Classic Rooms].

Day 3:: Explore Murchison Falls N. Park

This morning we wake up at 6am have a light cup of coffee, pick a game ranger and head for a 3-hour morning game drive in search of the wild game with a chance to see lions, elephant, sunrise etc. At the end of the game drive we head back to our lodge for breakfast and a little layover - maybe opt for a swimming pool or embark on updating your journal. After lunch we head for a 3 - hour boat ride [Departing at 1400 Hours] on the Nile to the bottom of the falls - returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight: Paraa Safari Lodge [Classic Rooms].

Day 4:: Murchison Falls N. Park – Kibale Forest National Park

Wake up at 06h00. Bags out and breakfast at 06h45. Start at 07h30 and drive south towards Kibale Forest N. Park. Lunch at Fort Portal Garden Restaurant in Fort Portal Town. Afternoon continuation toward Kibale N. Park for overnight at Ndali Lodge.

Day 5:: Explore Kibale Forest National Park

Morning - Go tracking the noisy chimps and other primates crashing around through the high canopy of the forest. Head to Primate Lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, we head for a guided walk in the Bogodi Swamp. After Bigodi Swamp Walk we depart for Ndali Lodge outside Kibaale Forest for Dinner and Overnight at: Ndali Lodge.

Day 6:: Kibale Forest - Queen Elizabeth N. Park

Wake up for early check out & breakfast. From 08h00 - start morning drive via short-cut to Queen Elizabeth. Visit Katwe Salt Works to see where Uganda’s Table salt is mined, before check-in and lunch at Mweya Safari Lodge. A brief siesta before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight: Mweya Safari Lodge – [Classic Rooms or Tents].

Day 7:: Explore Q. Elizabeth N, Park

After early breakfast at the lodge, we head out for a full morning game drive returning to our lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, we enjoy a Sunset Boat Trip – [Departure at 1600 Hours] on UWA’s (Uganda Wildlife Authority) new 30-seater boat - on the Kazinga Channel to reveal more of the water birds and animals this park offers. Dinner and overnight: Mweya Safari Lodge - [Classic Rooms or Tents].

Day 8:: Qn. Elizabeth N. Park – Bwindi Forest N. Park

After breakfast ata our lodge, we depart for Buhoma – Bwindi. There are washrooms at the park exit point on our way to Ishasha – a section of Queen Elizabeth Park – famous for tree-climbing lions.

Lunch at our destination in Buhoma – Gateway into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. In the afternoon - Optional: Dinner and overnight: Engagi Lodge, or similar.

Day 9:: Explore Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

With picnic lunch boxes provided by your lodge depart for early morning gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – returning later to park headquarters to pick up our trekking certificates. In the afternoon - Optional: Enjoy a walk of Buhoma Village to visit handicraft shops and view Bakiga Dances entertainment by orphans and students of the village. Dinner and overnight: Engagi Lodge, or similar.

Day 10:: Bwindi Forest N. Park – L. Mburo N. Park

Today we start our return to Kampala - though we have one more stop to make. We drive via Mbarara City to Lake Mburo National Park. What is currently Lake Mburo National Park was first gazetted in 1933 as a controlled hunting area and later upgraded to a game reserve in 1963. The area was dominantly occupied by the Banyankore pastoralists (commonly known as Bahima) who continued to herd their cattle and other livestock in the reserve until it was granted a National park status in 1983. Arrive at our destination – Mihingo Lodge - for lunch. Afterward, drive into Lake Mburo N. Park for an afternoon game drive – returning to our lodge for dinner and overnight: Mihingo Lodge, or similar.

Day 11:: Lake Mburo N. Park – L. Victoria Serena Golf Resort Day Room

After breakfast, depart for Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort – situated halfway between Kampala and Entebbe Airport. Farewell lunch & Dayrooms at: Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort. Later tonight we transfer to the Entebbe Airport for our homebound flight.

  • Visa fees - US$ 50.00 per person. Visas to be obtained online before arrival at Entebbe. Note: We shall provide link for visa application.
  • Intl departure tax of US $20 per person, if not included in air-ticket.
  • Tip for driver guide (budget from US $ 6.00 per person per day).
  • Any other form of tip - (budget approx. US$ 5.00 per person per day).
  • Any item (s) of personal nature i.e. tobacco, laundry, phone bills.
